평행사변형을 작도한 후 그 대각선이 합력이다.

힘의 크기

힘의 방향

α=tan⁡−1(P2sin⁡θP1+P2cos⁡θ)\alpha =\tan^{-1}\left(\dfrac{P_{2}\sin\theta}{P_{1}+P_{2}\cos\theta}\right)
